Do the Curley Shuffle...hey Moe, hey Moe!!!

So far the biggest and boldest moves in the NFL free agent market were as follows: Haynesworth and Chad Johnson both going to the Patriots, Kevin Kolb going to the Cardinals, Reggie Bush going to the Dolphins, and McNabb going to the Vikings.  That being said, the winners out of all of this madness may be the Patriots if Chad is up to par and Haynesworth pulls it together for "The Hoody".

Kevin Colb has not proven that he is a true starter yet, so the jury is still out on him.  Sorry Arizonians! Reggie Bush may help the Dophins with their "Wildcat Offensive Sets", but who will be the quarterback?  I guess that one fell through the cracks didn't it, Jeff Ireland.  As for McNabb...I have always given McNabb the benefit of the doubt, however this franchise needs to be thinking future.  They are not going to win with McNabb right now and they are not building for the future right now either.  After wasting their time with the "Favre Era", how fitting is it that they would follow it up with the "McNabb Years".  Where is President Obama's Veto power when you need it Minnesota? Adrian Peterson is officially wasting away starting this year.  The clock is ticking on this young man because his best years are being spent behind aging quarterbacks that are still trying to find glory.  Good luck with that!!!

I have to agree with your second take regarding old QBs and the future of franchises like the Minnesota. Christian Ponder will start there sooner people, including McNabb, think just because McNabb will not be able to physically hold up. Let's just hope that Peterson is not hurt when Ponder takes the reigns under center; and lets hope that there is another receiver for him to throw to since Sydney Rice is no longer there.

Now, as for the other free agent moves; I think New England, no, The Hoody is reaching when it comes to their free agent pick ups. We have seen Chad Ochocinco in a Patriot uniform before, only the name read Moss on the back. Despite all of the success New England had with Moss, they didn't win the trophy and they were exposed. Haynesworth will be substandard at best, as his 15 minutes as a overrated defensive tackle are up, and the locker room presence that that these guys provide can further sink the once titanic hora of the Patriots.

I guess these are the joys of free agency and the finally forthcoming NFL season.

The Hoody has made moves that will improve his D. Putting Haynesworth in his REAL position will not only make him happy and playing but will restore his sack count to double what it was. Shanahan is going to look like a fool for giving him up and The Hoody is adding a pass rush that offenses will have to run time routes or throw it away. He's going up the gut and his additons show that's what he wants. He's giving up a stellar CB to do it.

I'm willing to bet that The Hoody will be smiling when it all turns into a frozen tundra and teams will be forced to run agains his front D line. The guy is an amazing coach.

That said he has to overcome the Locker Room Cancer that Ochocinco and Haynesworth could...yes could bring with them. I'm really willing to bet that both of those players will be playing their hearts out for a coach that has a system and that system wins. It doesn't always win the Lombardi Trophy, but when was the last time they were a complete shamble of a team?

The Archman!
