When Does the Preseason Count

I have spoken with many people and listed to many "media heads" regarding their spin on the preseason.  It seems that if a team wins that nobody is rallying behind, it is just a preseason game and nothing to be excited about.  On the flip-side, if a team wins that everyone is excited about, it is a major win and a preview of what we should expect in the regular season.  Pretty interesting!

The Eagles looked horrible against the Steelers last week, and now  I am already hearing the same things that I heard about the Heat during the NBA season.  They are "over-hyped", "Vick is a terrible QB", "they should not have spent the money", and you name it.  For the record, they did not impress me last week, and Vick did look like he may have be wearing the old "Dirty Bird" jersey instead of the Eagles green one, but this is preseason or practice, right?  I mean, we are talking about "practice".  "Practice, not a game, not a game, practice......".  I could go on for ever with my boy A.I's old "Philly Rant"....lol

It's just pre-season...for everyone else EXCEPT the Lions! They think it's on like Donkey Kong. They win all of their pre-season games almost every year and charge into the regular season with a bravado and swagger that they buy into. Everyone is in on the joke EXCEPT for them. Sorry, but there are teams like Seattle, Pittsburgh, Philly and Arizona that use the pre-season for trick plays. Plays that if you were paying attention to the way they line up, or the way they stunted the line will comeback usually in the post season with a big play that is a game changer.

It is what it is and I don't even bother to watch the stuff. It doesn't matter. It's just a reason to have your stars taken out by a rookie trying to make the team with a vicious hit or injury during a game that doesn't even matter.
